QCA/QVA

Quantitative Coronary Analysis (QCA)/Quantitative Vessel Analysis (QVA)

Independent analysis of angiograms has always been and continues to remain the gold standard for the clinical research end point assessment of coronary / peripheral artery disease. At CBCC-vibgyor, the Angiography Core laboratory provides established analysis techniques to deliver objective and reproducible measurements of coronary/peripheral artery dimensions. Our QCA/QVA Core Lab offers support by providing an unbiased interpretation of the results of pharmaceutical or mechanical intervention in artery disease, as recorded cineangiographically.

The advantages offered by the QCA/QVA core lab for Quality control involve , skilled protocol specific analysis, review of images; approval of each analysis cardiologists database generation and export to sponsor.

Technology Advantages
The CoreLab employs an industry-leading software platform for the analysis of coronary/peripheral vessels in angiograms that provides support to researchers with a solid basis for the assessment of new therapies. The technology platform is a flexible modular structure which makes it possible to add combinations of functionality to the basic modules for coronary vessel analysis.

The key features are as follows :

  • Automatic analysis of straight, ostial and bifurcated segments
  • Fast, two-click and three-click automatic pathline detection and superb automatic contour detection
  • Analysis of straight vessel segments treated with (drug eluting) stents or vascular brachy therapy
  • Subsegment and edge segment analyses
  • Analysis of standard digital, subtracted and inverted images
  • Three wall-motion reference models: Centerline, Stanford, and Slager
  • Audit-trailing to safeguard standard working procedures
  • DataConvert for conversion of XML or DICOM analysis results to various formats, including HTML and Microsoft Excel XML

Angiography Core Lab Services
We provide Core Lab analysis services for clinical trials investigating: Thrombolytic therapies, Percutaneous Intervention (PCI), Novel cardiovascular devices, Progression / Regression of Coronary Artery Diseases, and LV function.

QCA and QVA assessment parameters include analysis of Minimal Lesion Diameter (MLD), Reference Vessel Diameter (RVD), Diameter Stenosis (DS), Length Acute gain, Late lumen loss, Mehran restenosis classification, Coronary bifurcation, Binary restenosis, and Reporting of plaque area and symmetry.
